Volunteering

It takes over 150 volunteers to keep the event going, as always we are very grateful for any assistance provided by willing volunteers. We receive countless email and Facebook messages every year telling us just how much the efforts of our volunteers are appreciated and how important they are to the cyclists.

There is no doubt that our volunteers make the Wicklow 200 the brilliant event it is!

If you’d like to help out at the Wicklow 200, roles for volunteers vary depending on location, time of day and skills.

At Start

Starting very early in the morning, roles at the Start will include:

  • Checking in Riders
  • Making tea & coffee
  • Car parking duties
  • General marshalling in & around Bray

In the afternoon roles will also include:

  • Greeting riders at the finish line
  • Making tea and coffee
  • Car parking duties
  • General marshalling

On the Route

Out on the road most junctions are marshalled along the 100km and 200km routes so we need lots of volunteers to guide and encourage riders.

Feed Stations

Help is also always appreciated at our feed stations.
